When planning your upcoming yacht experience, the most important thing to consider is the type of vessel and if it's right for you. Trying to decide if a yacht is the way to go? Ask yourself the type of experience you're looking for. Compared to renting a boat, yachting is the more luxurious option. If you would like to treat your family, friends, or employees to a special day, and are looking for comfort, a yacht will do the trick. Having great outdoor seating options is one of the main qualities to look for in a yacht, as this is where you'll spend the majority of your time with your group.
Location, Location, Location
Harbour Island is the place to be in Tampa. The Pointe Marina on Harbour Island is right across from the Tampa Convention Center and is anchored by the Westin Waterside hotel. Major holiday and sports parades come right though this intersection of the Hillsborough River and the Garrison Channel. You'll sometimes even spot a celebrity or two!
Jackson's Bistro and American Social are popular restaurants at the marina. A major convenience of chartering a yacht from this marina is that you'll have a hotel and restaurants nearby for before and after the charter.
Tip: Prior to your charter, grab a drink at one of the restaurants at the marina. It is so much fun to watch the boats pass by!
Destinations AKA Island Hopping 101
Visiting one of the nearby islands is the most popular destination option among our charter guests. If you are doing a full day charter from Tampa, I would recommend visiting Shell Key or Egmont Key. These are both pristine nature preserves and are perfect for exploring. They are also optimal locations for swimming. The water is crystal clear, like on a postcard.
Our second most popular charter is a sunset cruise into Tampa Bay. This is a wonderful choice if you'd like to relax and enjoy Florida's natural beauty. For those opting for a half day charter, my recommendation would be to visit Tiki Island, or "Party Island". The spot features a giant waterslide, tiki bar, and shallow waters for swimming.
